Have you "friended" the Fire Department on Facebook? I know, I know you don't want to be a part of all the crazy social media; however, friending the Fire Department is highly beneficial. Let me explain.

Not only do we post timely notices of current events happening throughout the Wildland Fire Suppression District, much the same as this blog, but we, the Fire Department, also post critical information regarding issues that may directly affect you. Specifically, this week's hot, dry winds and issued Red Flag Warning.

You can subscribe to receive all notifications as soon as they come out. Part of being prepared is your own situational awareness. Being aware of predicted weather is one key element in this preparedness.
