Defensible Space Chipping - West Mountain

Defensible Space Chipping for the WEST MOUNTAIN chip area starts Monday, April 1st, for homeowners who are within the Wildland Fire Suppression Assessment District. If you are a resident of the West Mountain chip area, please remember to have your piles out by the first of the month. Cut vegetation will not be chipped if it is put out after the crews have already passed through the area.

Thank you to all the homeowners in the Las Canoas and Sheffield/Parma chip areas for making sure cut material was free of exotic pest species and placed off of roadways in a safe location. We have successfully chipped over 50 tons of vegetation in the first two chip areas! If we are chipping in your area and you would like to receive a load of chips, please call 564-5737.

Defensible Space Chipping - Las Canoas Chip Area

Defensible Space Chipping for the LAS CANOAS chip area starts Monday, March 18, for homeowners who are within the Wildland Fire Suppression Assessment District. Please remember to review the information provided in our annual newsletter and on your posted Notice of Vegetation Chipping prior to piling your cut vegetation.

Please understand that our contractor only runs one chipper. Each chip pile is document on Monday and a list is given to the contractor. Depending on where they start in the project and how much brush is put out it may take us a few days to get to your pile.

You are welcome to continue adding to your pile until it is picked up. However, once the chippers pass through the area they will not be making second passes
